The Normanby – Marriottt Hotel ($200m) –  Crema Constructions

This 40 storey tower is made up of a combined 4 star hotel and residential apartments. 105 residential apartments with a combination of 1-3 bedroom apartments. Ground floor is a retail space. General common areas include a gym, function rooms, hotel restaurant and a pool on level 6.  


Kooyong Tennis Club ($15-20m) –  Ireland Brown

This two stage project at Melbourne’s home of tennis consists of a new multi-level car park and extension to existing clubhouse comprising members dining areas, extension to the existing gym, two additional squash courts, amenities & administration areas.


Hyatt Hotel, Caribbean Park ($75m) –  Caribbean Park

This facility features 170 luxury rooms, café, grab-and-go food market, bar lounge and fitness centre. PCA 2018 Best Business Park Winner; Caribbean Park is now the largest office precinct outside of Melbourne’s CBD.


Bosch New Office and Specialised Workshop ($15-$20m) –  Johns Lyng Commercial

Builders The project consists of a brand new two level office with an adjacent large Specialised Workshop and Storage facility. The fire system is networked in with the rest of the site with a new fully compatible system.


Village M-City Cinemas  ($5m) –  Tempo Group

Located at the new M-City development site, the Village Cinema project consists of a suite of brand new cinemas with associated back of house and retail areas. The fire detection system installed was specially designed to suit the site conditions with access to the high ceilings a constant challenge.


Optus Exchange Data Centre, Burwood East  ($5m) –  Robert Man Builders

This complex project involves converting an existing Telco exchange into a self contained data centre complete with VESDA, Gas Suppression, Pre-Action and detection systems.


Camberwell Community Centre Redevelopment ($10m) –  Higgins

The redevelopment of the Camberwell Community Centre comprises the construction of a new three level community facility including basement, ground and first floor. The facility includes a 100 seat hall, kitchen and store room, administration area and foyer, with amenities, two art rooms, two classrooms, a wellness room, maternal & childcare facility and consult rooms. The fire services comprises a new FIP with associated detection and EWIS system.


New Rosebud Aquatic Centre  ($35m) –  Buxton

The new indoor Rosebud Aquatic Centre comprises a 51.5m, 8 lane fully indoor pool with complete retail and athletic capabilities via ancillary areas. The fire protection system includes a full VESDA system, detection and EWIS.


RYCO Warehouse ($15m) –  Pelligra

A greenfield site this 8,000 m2 industrial facility was our first project with this customer. With a state of the art integrated fitout also undertaken, DFS delivered a full new FIP and device installation to program and defect free. We worked very closely with Pelligra who managed the site superbly.


Max Kirwin Mazda New Showroom and Refurbishment ($3m) – APM Group

This project comprised a detailed refurbishment of the existing showroom as well as the construction of a new prestige showroom. A general code compliance upgrade was also carried out across the site. The dealership traded as usual throughout the entire 6 month project meaning works were mainly carried out after hours. The project was handed over on time and without defects.


Austin Mental Health Hospital ($2m) –  Alchemy

Refurbishment of the existing Austin Mental Health Hospital, consisting of new consulting suits and offices


Healthscope -North Park Private Hospital New CSSD Upgrade ($4m) –  Alchemy

Performing all works in a live hospital, an existing area was upgraded, and fire compartments revised to suit modern codes and standards. Working closely with the builder the project was delivered to a tight timeframe with a defect free handover


Tabulam & Templer Home For the Aged ($15m) – Total Construction

Diverse Fire Systems were engaged to supply and install the Fire Protection scope for a new wing being built to extend the existing aged care facility. We were also engaged to upgrade 3 existing Fire Indicator Panels and integrate them into the existing system.


188 -198 Gertrude St, Fitzroy ($3m) – Krongold Group

This multifaced development included a Gym, Grocer, Office and Retail stores. The façade and structure were constrained by the Heritage Victoria Guidelines and had been partially damaged by a fire in the 1920’s which had never been properly repaired. The scope of the project included the delicate and time consuming process of making good the damage caused by this fire as well as a complete modern fitout. Our team successfully collaborated with the builder in a timely manner to complete on time and within budget.


Bingo Resource Recovery Centre ($20m) – Dewcape

This facility’s purpose is to process waste at an industrial scale. The new Bingo facility was a fast paced fitout project with a pump house controlling 2 million litre tanks, pre-action system for the control room, occupant warning system and visual alarm alert. Access above valuable recycling plant was challenging. Our team successfully delivered by frequent communication with Bingo culminating in a successful grand opening on time and budget. 


Tarneit Community Learning Centre Refurbishment ($3m) – Alchemy

This community centre refurbishment was undertaken in a staged manner as the facility was required to maintain functionality throughout the construction phase. To achieve this in a safe manner, our team created a high visibility schedule of works which the builder and occupant were able to understand and work with. Isolation of key areas were conducted with consideration and communication as key working principles.
